Amex · bank currency
Amex Membership Rewards Transfer Partners
Amex Membership Rewards reach more airlines than any other US bank currency, which is what makes them the default for international premium cabins. The hotel side is weak by comparison, and Marriott and Hilton both transfer at rates that rarely justify the move. Treat Amex as an airline currency and use something else for hotels.

Only Amex reaches Delta SkyMiles, ANA Mileage Club and Leading Hotels — Leaders Club. No other bank currency on this site transfers there, which is usually the strongest single reason to hold a particular currency.

What these points are worth
The 2.00¢ figure above is a starting default, not our calculation. It comes from The Points Guy's published valuations, used because a public, documented baseline is more useful than a number we invented. What a point is actually worth is whatever you redeem it for. Our methodology page draws that line and shows the arithmetic.

Before you transfer
- Transfers are one-way. Confirm award space before moving anything, and move only what the booking needs.
- Ratios are not all 1:1. The table above shows the real rate for each partner, and a handful have been devalued in recent years.
- Last verified September 13, 2026. Every row here was checked against multiple trade sources on that date. If it looks old to you, it is old, and this line says so rather than implying a cadence.
This page is a snapshot. The tracker keeps it current against what you actually hold. Points Commander tracks your balances across every program, counts down each card credit against its reset date, and plans award trips from the points you have. Free, no affiliate links, no bank login.
